20 stalwart members of our Club braved November type weather on October 23 to participate in a tour of Drummond Hill cemetery. Under hauntingly gray skies, this wonderfully choreographed event created by Niagara Falls History Museum highlighted historic notables of the area including Elizabeth Lundy, Harmanus Crysler, and Laura Secord. From their own graves, 7 ghostly presences shared significant events from their lives with very attentive (albeit cold) participants. A dinner that followed in the warmer environment of Chuck’s Roadhouse was marked by storytelling, laughter, and good food. Thank you, Marian, for organizing this event. We know that you remind us regularly that, in Probus, Our Strength is Fellowship and Our Success is Participation.
