Under azure blue skies of a spectacular late August day 50 Probus members gathered at Charles Daley Park. Majestic oak trees along the waterfront of Lake Ontario provided wonderful shade while out in the dappled bay ships passed in distant waters. The Special Events team, led by Judy Westell, arrived early at the picnic site to move tables into the shade, cover them with tablecloths, and prepare the buffet table. To respect Covid precautions, team members masked and gloved served delicious food to appreciative diners. All agreed that a catered picnic was an excellent idea. A great variety of tasty sandwiches, a spinach salad, and a potato salad were followed by homemade squares and fresh fruit.
