Thursday Sept 7 marked the end of another season for the PROBUS Club of Pelham Golf group.  The weather turned out to be perfect as 10 golfers embarked on the final nine hole round on the Quarry course at Peninsula Lakes G & C in Fenwick.  There were some competition holes and a putting challenge to make the day enjoyable.  Afterward there was an opportunity to socialize together over lunch.
The golf group started the season on May 11th with a “Meet and Greet” at the clubhouse and began golfing the following week, playing 14 rounds in total throughout the summer.  There are 26 members in the golf group with 19 actively participating.

The 2023 PROBUS golf season is now underway.  We started with a little driving range practice followed by lunch at Peninsula Lakes Golf Course on May 11th as a Meet & Greet opportunity.  There were 11 members in attendance.  Golfing begins on May 18th with a round of 9 holes and there are 14 members signed up to play.  All our rounds are scheduled at Peninsula Lakes Golf Course for this season, but that may change for next year since the course has recently changed ownership.  Our members will enjoy reduced rates for golf this year as compared to the new posted rates at the course.  Golf interest group members have received the golfing schedule with pricing and additional details for this season.  This group has grown to 26 members this year!

On June 2nd, 2021 the golf interest group gathered for our first round of the season at Peninsula Lakes Golf Course in Fenwick.  Six of our eleven members were able to join us.
Since then, we have enjoyed nine rounds of golf at various courses in the region.  The courses included, Peninsula Lakes, Rolling Meadows, Pelham Hills and Royal Niagara, to name a few.
Over the season we picked up a few new members too.
We typically played 9 holes in the morning mid-week, but managed to do 18 for the more ambitious in our group.
Our last round was held where we began, at Peninsula Lakes, on Oct 28th.
We are already looking forward to doing it again next year!!
