A large group gathered at the home of Wendy and Jim on December 31, 2025 to celebrate New Year’s Eve and time together.
While awaiting the arrival of guests Jim cleared the driveway and helped guests carry appetizers and beverages. At the end of the party, he also assisted guests in their setting off, brushing snow off their vehicles before members drove off into the night. What a gentleman! What a host! Alongside an amazing hostess, Wendy. Attending members enjoyed pictures of Wendy and Jim’s travel adventures and decorating a beautiful tree by the fireplace. Wonderful mementoes!

We were lucky to have perfect weather for our Appy Hour at the home of Penny and Roy Blake in Welland. The party moved outdoors and there was plenty of food, drink and sunshine.
Great appetizers, cool drinks and s’mores! Cheers! Next gathering will be Thursday, September 22 at the Gilbert's.
Well, talk about "the Luck of the Irish" and we saw it on March 17 -- a day from Irish heaven shared with PROBUS friends at Irish Hills where we lifted a toast to the Irish community. Everyone was wearing Irish regalia and yes, many imbibed in a little Irish whiskey. On behalf of our 'Appy Hour group we extend a special thank you to our hosts, the bonnie lassie Dee and laddy named Murph. Thank you to all who attended and who brought their love of being together while wearing the green, sitting in warm sunshine, and sharing some Irish melodies lead by our musical leaders, John Murphy and Penny Blake. Thank you Doug Willford for sharing some colourful Irish stories. We are happy to announce that our next celebration will take place June 16 at the home of Evelyn and Keith Thoy. If you would like further information about the ‘APPY HOUR Interest Group please contact our Champion The "Appy Hour" group gathered on September 16 for their latest celebration of food and companionship.
