We had 34 members of the Probus Theatre group attend the Norm Foster “A Niagara Christmas Carol” at the Mandeville Theatre on Dec 11th.
We started off at Coppolas Restaurant prior to the show and enjoyed good food and good company. The newly recruited fans of the ‘The Espresso Martini ‘club and there was even a surprise visit from Elvis to sing a Happy Birthday to Wendy. Even our enthusiastic waitress joined in, an obvious Elvis fan. Then off to the show. The play was an adaptation of the classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ to include the history of the Welland Canal. It really was a great play. The story, the set design and the acting was top notch! After the show, the cast came back to the stage and the audience had an opportunity to ask questions to get a glimpse into the making of the play. Very interesting.
