The first time some of us ventured to the far end of the tunnel, but we could not get entirely through due to a pond at the far end and lots of ice stalagmites!

Cycling group members are now joining the Hiking group until spring when the weather is more favourable for riding . The September 12th hike from Rockway to Short Hills Park lived up to its description of being strenuous with some steep grades and 9 km distance.
